Re: Jimmy greaves RIP
I liked Jimmy, even though he played for the rent boys and dustbins.

Probably the greatest English striker of all time.

R.I.P. Jimmy I think watching two men dancing on the woke BBC was to much for him.

Re: Jimmy greaves RIP
In terms of his football career it was before my time but you only have to look at his stats and how other legends of the game talk about him to know he was one of the greatest strikers this country ever produced.

I knew him best for Saint & Greavsie.

In the mid 80s to the early 90s that show was hugely popular. It was a Saturday lunchtime staple before Sky Sports was a thing.

RIP

Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
Sad news indeed.

"The Great Jimmy Greaves", as my Hammers neighbour insisted everybody called him - and nobody argued - ever.

Don't think he ever really forgot his roots, either.

I always refer to him as Greaves the ex-West Ham player.

RIP.

RIP Jimmy.

Only 4 of the squad left now, Bobby Charlton, Roger Hunt, George Cohen and Sir Geoff Hurst (who seems to barely age any time he pops up).

Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
Sad but considering his drinking life style for many years and his health in recent years, did not do bad.
Great, great goal scorer.
RIP Jimmy
Go and meet up with your old buddy Bobby
